THE PALACE OF THE ONOGIE OF OKHUE-ESAN DISTANCES IT’SELF AND THE COMMUNITY FROM VIRAL SOCIAL MEDIA VIDEO
The palace of the Onojie of Okhue-Esan Kingdom in Esan South East Local Government Area has dissociated itself and the community from the content of a viral social media video christened ” Governor Obaseki’s neglect of Okhuesan School;A case study of failed governance.
In a news statement signed by the palace secretary, Mr Oseyi Ahatuemen says after taking time to investigate the claims in the viral video ,it discovered that the said report is a complete misrepresentation, surreptitiously done to undermine both the interest of the school and the community .
The palace statement which frowned at the mischievous video and dissociated the Okhuesan community from it ,pointed out that the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki has been magnanimous to Okhuesan community particularly in the area of education where a block of classrooms and 600ft X 600ft perimeter fence were recently constructed at Okhuesan primary school.
It added that Okhuesan is also one of the benefiting communities of an on-going electricity project in the area undertaken by the Governor Obaseki led administration which clearly indicates that Okhuesan kingdom is in Governor Obaseki’s developmental plans contrary to what was presented in the ill-conceived viral social media video
While dissociating the palace and the entire Okhuesan community from the viral video which it described as the handiwork of mischief makers bent on creating disaffections where non exists ,Mr Ahatuamen abundantly made it clear in the statement that Okhuesan as a civilized community would rather engage government directly on any issue of concern through due process and the appropriate government channels than resorting to cheap blackmail and misrepresentation of facts .
The statement therefore admonished the disgruntled elements behind the said viral video to always very their facts before going public rather than indulging in junk journalism that does no good to anyone.
