A former Edo state PDP Deputy Governorship candidate Hon John Yakubu. Has commended women for their significant roles in societal advancement especially their concerted drive for success and impactful services while managing the unending demands and pressures of a dynamic society .
Hon.Yakubu made the commendation in commemoration of the 2023 International Womens Day which is celebrated every March 8, by the United Nations and it’s sister organizations .
In a congratulatory message Hon John Yakunu said women over the years women have proven to be excellent managers of human and material resources across all spheres of human endeavour at the home front, in the larger society and in building multinational conglomerates across the globe
The former Edo PDP deputy governorship candidate noted that the theme for this year’s celebration , DitatALL, INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY FOR GENDER EQUALITY is apt ,as it encapsulates the outstanding contributions of women in the promotion of technological innovations in the advancement of humanity .
Hon John Yakubu therefore urged women across Edo state to continue to strive for innovative excellence in all they do for them to continue to maintain their pride of place in the scheme of things.
Hon Yakubu urged women to to re-enact their democratic spirit by coming out enmass to vote for the candidates of their choice especially women who are contesting in Saturday March 11 governorship and state house of assembly elections
