BUILDING YOUTH RESILIENCE TO CRIME:ANEEJ And partner BRIGHTER FUTURE PROJECT Host Youth Advocacy Football Tournament

Towards discouraging social vices and channelling the energy of youths positively, the Africa Network for Environment and Social Justice, ANEEJ and it’s partner, Hag International have organized a football competition for teams in Oredo and Ikpoba Okha Local Government Areas.

The event tagged Building Youth Resistance to Crime, held at the mini stadia of the Edo State School of Health Technology, Dumez Road, Benin City.

The Zonal Commander, NAPTIP, Edo-Delta and Bayelsa States, Barr. Nduka Nwanwenne took the ceremonial kick off.

The final match between Sandranez FC Of Ogumwenyi and Unity FC both of Oredo LGA at the end of which, Unity FC defeated Sandranez FC three goals to two via penalties after goalless ninety minutes to lift the trophy.

The Deputy Executive Director, ANEEJ, Leo Atakpu who represented the Executive Director, Revd. David Ugolor presented the trophy, medals and football boots to the winning team.

Medals and other items were also presented to the second, third and fourth placed teams.

Deputy Executive Director, ANEEJ, Leo Atakpu, Zonal Commander, NAPTIP, Edo State Barr. Nwanwenne and Captain of the winning team Nsikak Iniokon comment on the gains of the competition.

In the third place match decided earlier, Global stars on red and yellow Jersey defeated Ogua Community team two goals to nil.
