A gang of armed robbers have reportedly attacked the residences of Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, and that of Administrative Officer, Abubakar Maikano, in and around the premises of the Presidential Villa, Aso-Rock, Abuja.

Confirming the report, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu said the Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari had confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00 am this morning (Monday, May 10, 2021) but it turned out to be unsuccessful.

Shehu added that Professor Gambari, whose house is on a street next to the Villa, had assured well-wishers that there was nothing to worry about from the incident.
