David Ugolor who made the assertion on a live TV programme on ITV Benin Politics Today, opined that the refusal of the Mr. President to reject Magus appointment as head of EFCC despite weighty indictment by DSS which led to the senate’s refusal to confirm him as EFCC Chairman as required by law turned the anti-corruption Czar into lord lord onto himself without contrl. He added, this is largely responsible for the corruption mess currently rocking the EFCC under the leadership of Ibrahim Magu. Rev. Ugolor said that against the background that president Buhari. First and second term re-election were premised on the fight against corruption but with the performance of Magu whom the president insisted on retaining on the job in the face rejection by the senate, the president must take responsibility for the atrocities of Ibrahim Magu at EFCC.
