The village head of South East Uneme in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo state, HRH Chief Benjamin Ikani, has been dethroned as Oliola of Uzanu Clan of South Uneme with immediate Effects.

In a letter signed by the Secretary to State Government, Osarodion Ogie, Chief Benjamin was accused by the state government over the incessant and flagrant disregard of the peace agreement and government directive to maintain peace In Uzanu Community and its environs by the Oliola.

The deposed HRH is the paramount royal father in the federal Minister of Budget and Planning community of Uzanu, MR. Clem Agba. Governor Godwin Obaeki who is an inlaw to the minister has been having a running battle with the minister over alleged misappropriation of the Benin Water Storm Project when the minister was Commissioner for Environment in Edo State.
