As faithful Muslims commence Ramadan the compulsory fasting period also know as Ramadan, a PDP Edo central senatorial Aspirant Engr. Mike Iseghohi has urged the Muslims Umah to put into judicious use this period of fasting and prayers to seek the divine intervention of Allah on the challenges facing the nation.

In his Ramadan message to all Muslims in Edo Central Senatorial District in particular and Nigeria in general, Engr Iseghohi said fasting and prayers besides being a time of personal reconnection with Allah it’s also a period to intercede for the nation in view of the myriad problems bedeviling the country. He admonished all especially the Muslim Umah to use this period to show love in line with the teachings of prophet Mohammed.

The Senatorial Hopeful who admonished Muslims across the country to see the holy month of Ramadan as a period of piety, love and oneness in almighty Allah charged them to pray for the nation in all areas, while calling for peaceful coexistence amongst all.

Ramadan commenced on Saturday 2nd April 2022 following the confirmation of sighting of the moon by the President- General Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Mohammad Sa’ad ABUBAKAR III and is scheduled to last between 29 to 30 days.
